Tsukure Studio Pre-Amplifier

An Amplifier is an electronic circuit or device which is used for amplification purpose and used mainly in sound reproduction as well in our electronic industry widely. There are many types of amplifier available by using different components like transistor based amplifier, op-amp based amplifier, transformer based amplifier. Sometimes we use a Preamp Circuit in circuits for pre-amplification of weak signal when the audio source sound level is too low. Pre-amlification of low level signals is necessary before feeding them into a power source, for clear and noiseless sound. In this project, we will build a Simple Preamplifier Circuit using NPN transistor BC547.

Here we have used this Preamplifier circuit for amplifying the AUX output of Mobile phone and amplifying the voice input given by the condensor mic or microphone.

Components used in this module...

Find out more about the components used in this STEM Module.

Let's Get Started!

Below you will find a list of bits to gather before hand, followed by a detailed schematic. Using a breadboard lay out the components and connect them together as shown. Alternatively you can purchase this module from our shop and simply solder the components in the places indicated on the quality assured printed circuit boards provided.

What You Need...

1 100uF Capacitor (Polarized)
1 3.5mm Audio Jack Connector (Female)
1 3.5mm Male Jack Connector Connector (Male)
3 PCB Mount 2-Pin Screw Terminal Block Connector (Other)
1 2K2
[ Red, Red, Black, Brown ]
Resistor (0.25 Watt)
1 BC547 Transistor (NPN)

NB: Any resistor colour codes specified relate to 5 band resistor codes, the 5th band has not been shown intentionally. The 5th band indicates the resistor tolerence, we use only the highest tolerence resistors in our products.
