Tsukure Preppers Emergency FM Transmitter

For this project you will need the following components, which you can find in most household and automative electrical equipment. Alternatively to save destroying your mums microwave or dads car stereo, you can purchase one of our Tsukure "Preppers" Emergency FM Transmitter project kits.

In fact a dark sensor circuit can be converted to a simple FM transmitter using the following components. This FM transmitter is very sensitive and it has transmitting range of 30 meters.

NB: A BC547 Transistor will work very well as an alternative to the 2N2222.

Let's Get Started!

Below you will find a list of bits to gather before hand, followed by a detailed schematic. Using a breadboard lay out the components and connect them together as shown. Alternatively you can purchase this module from our shop and simply solder the components in the places indicated on the quality assured printed circuit boards provided.

What You Need...

1 102 (1000pF / 1nF / 0.001uF) Capacitor (Ceramic)
1 47 (47pF / 0.047nF) Capacitor (Ceramic)
1 20pF Capacitor (Trimming)
1 100nH / 0.1uH Inductor
1 5mm Red (Diffused) LED
1 Tsukure Preppers - Emergency FM Transmitter PCB
1 330R
[ Orange, Orange, Black, Black ]
Resistor (0.25 Watt)
1 370R
[ Orange, Violet, Black, Black ]
Resistor (0.25 Watt)
1 4K7
[ Yellow, Violet, Black, Brown ]
Resistor (0.25 Watt)
1 2N2222 Transistor (NPN)
1 24 AWG Wire

NB: Any resistor colour codes specified relate to 5 band resistor codes, the 5th band has not been shown intentionally. The 5th band indicates the resistor tolerence, we use only the highest tolerence resistors in our products.
